Anyway, I also saw that ad and was mildly surprised by it. I won't blame those who chose to participate though as they may have their own reasons to want to win that contestant. Maybe its their opportunity to make money and buy the medicines of their sick mother, or fulfill their desire of starting out a career in showbusiness. If any, I think whats more pitiful is the lack of opportunities our country has for people to improve or prosper themselves. Of course, that is not to say that the individual is not responsible for his/her own self-improvement and prosperity. After all, opportunities can only take you so far.
